Thanks for showing up

Happiness is an art accessible to all but only realised by some. My mission is to help people drop their blocks and rock what they’ve got. I speak as a catalyst for change and share peaceful practices that bond people and planet. I live in Brighton where I paddleboard for perspective, dance for freedom and practice yoga daily to stay (mostly) sane.

I share mindful practices as a wellbeing consultant and senior yoga teacher over the past 17 years. I’ve clocked up around 12,000 hours teaching experience. I’m a bit of a study geek and have trained in several schools of yoga and meditation. I founded Nine Lives Yoga as an entrepreneur in 2009. Since then I have distilled the 12 most powerful techniques into this method.  The tool integral to the course are the most effective for clients. I’ve worked with over 25,000 clients across 11 countries since 2009 in every capacity from speaking at conferences and events to diving deeper with one to one coaching clients.

One crazy project turned opportunity was taking the Nine Lives Yoga Rave from a tiny East London studio to tour internationally, especially Scandinavia and watch it grew into a sideline business running yoga parties for groups wanting mindful celebations. I facilitate team-building workshops and courses in my 4 Pillars of Happiness Method™ and Social Yoga techniques and happy clients include Fortune 500 clients Google and Microsoft, for NHS staff, young homeless people with the Clocktower Sanctuary and for mental health hospital Elysium. I am passionate about social inclusion am launching a Social Yoga advanced teacher training specialism for yoga teachers September 2020.

I work in depth with a small number of clients annually through this programme.  I am motivated to look mental health in the eye and support people to create truly fulfilling and satisfying lives using the 4 Pillars of Happiness as a barometer for life.

My Story

Life is for grabbing with both hands and living with big grinning smiles whenever something makes us feel good.  Life is for expressing guffaws of laughter when they explode out of us, to love with full heart, and intellectually explore ideas and concepts with the curiosity of a child and the discernment of someone who’s job depends upon it.

In happiness there is a lot of facing up to the reality of things, accepting the world as it is, especially our impact on it, whilst also plotting with full imagination for a vision of utopia. It is in seeking the beauty in the mundane and the lesson in defeat. It is in finding joy, every day, despite the headlines.

Happiness is not a constant state of seeking but of being open to see.

Most simply put it is simply a repeated pattern of noticing.

I’m a London turned Brighton girl.  I’m active, passionate, overflowingly friendly and buoyant but don’t let that fool you. I’m sharp as they come. I am also fascinated by the merge of ancient healing practices with modern science.

I have nearly died several times, I am neurodiverse and I am confident and grounded in myself. I am a tall, articulate, red brick educated and casually spoken woman who had a horrible nightmare at school, set up up own business off the back of a redundancy and turned it into my dream lifestyle.  My talks are always interactive and relational and I’d love to hear from you.

“Thank you for the huge impact you had. Everyone’s feedback has been very positive. You brought everyone into the room to experience the evening consciously and with an open mind. It made the experience much more valuable and meaningful. Thank you.”
